Upbeat and ready for the Weekend

  • Mood: Happy

I've decided to retain a happy positive attitude today.  After all it is the start of the weekend.  And this weekend is all about taking care of me and the girls.  With all the stress we been through lately I've decided to take advantage of an invite we received to have a little mini vacation.

A friend of mine has two boys who are 6 months - 1 year older than both of my girls respectively.  They have a hockey tournament out of town and they have asked us to come with.  So it will be me my friend R, her two boys (6.5 and 4) and my two girls (6 and 3).  We are going to go and have fun.  Jump on the beds, swim in the pool, sit in the whirlpool, watch the hockey games, let the girls play the puck shootout, and generally pig out on inconsequential food.

It should be fun.  I may come home with a "Oh My God all those kids are driving me crazy" headache but it will be worth it.  The kids all get along for the most part, as kids do, and R and I can have a good BS session.

It will be nice to get away from everything and everyone for a while.  The kids don't ask questions or offer support.  They just smile at you and in that ever innocent way of theirs fill your heart with love.  My youngest, M, has taken up the habit of everytime I'm gone for a while or right away in the morning when she wakes up comes running and gives me the bear hug of all bear hug, then sweetly goes "Me miss you mommy."  She's a pistol that one.

So I'm leaving worries about B behind and going out to be a kid again.  Oh yea the other thing I may do is color my hair this weekend.  Time to cover the gray again.  Now to just decide on if I should go darker, lighter, or stay within the same shade range.  Have a great weekend all.
